Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan (VPKAS), Almora was established by Professor Boshi Sen in 1924  is a multi crop, multi-disciplinary Research Institute for north-western hill region. This is a pioneer Institute to cater to the agricultural research needs.

VPKAS invites applications for the following positions on contractual basis under the following projects on the basis of walk-in-interview :

DBT funded project “Rapid conversion of normal maize inbreds to quality protein maize and further enhancement of limiting amino acids in elite inbreds through marker assisted selection”
Library/Field Assistant
Posts: 1
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.8000/-
Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 30 years as on the date of interview.
Qualification: Candidates should be B.SC/B.SC (Ag.) in any branch of Biology or Matriculation with at least 5 years of working experience in a reputed biotechnology laboratory.

Laboratory Assistant
Posts: 1
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.6500/- p.m.
Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 30 years as on the date of interview.
Qualification: Candidates should be B.SC/B.SC (Ag.) in any branch of Biology or Matriculation with at least 5 years of working experience in a reputed biotechnology laboratory.
Horticulture Technology Mission Mini Mission -1 (Central Coordinating Unit) Project
Office Assistant
Posts: 1
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.10000/- p.m.
Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 27 years as on the date of interview.
Qualification: Candidates should be Post Graduate in any branch having good communication skill in English & Hindi and have good knowledge of computer.
