The Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology ( VNIT ) Nagpur is a Deemed University started from 26th June 2002. It was established in 1960 as Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering. Its main aim is to impart quality technical education throughout the country and foster national integration. Its campus is spread in an area of about 214 acres of land in Nagpur.

Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology ( VNIT ) Nagpur invites applications for the following positions :

1. Deputy Registrar
   No. of posts : 1
   Age Limit : Maximum 45 ears
   Pay scale : PB3 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs.7600/-
   Qualification : Candidate should have scored minimum 55% marks at masters degree.
   Experience : A least 9 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 6000/- and above with experience in education administration.
2. Assistant Registrar
   No. of posts : 2
   Age Limit : Maximum 32 years
   Pay scale : PB3 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs.5400/-
   Qualification : Candidate should have masters degree with minimum 55% marks.
3. Senior Medical Officer
   No. of posts : 1
   Age Limit : Maximum 40 years
   Pay scale : PB3 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs.7600/-
   Qualification : Candidate should have the degree of MD in General Medicine OR MBBS with 60% marks .
   Experience : At least 10 years of experience in a reputed hospital in Govt., PSU or Private Sector.
4. Deputy Librarian
   No. of posts : 1
   Age Limit : Maximum 45 ears
   Pay scale : PB3 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs.8000/-
   Qualification : Candidate should have Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science / Documentation Science and Ph.D degree in the relevant discipline.
   Experience : Minimum 10 years of teaching/ Library experience with at least 5 years as an Asst. University Librarian/College Librarian.
5. Assistant Librarian
   No. of posts : 1
   Age Limit : Maximum 32 years
   Pay scale : PB3 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs.6000/-
   Qualification : Candidate should have Master’s degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks and the knowledge of computerisation of Library. And candidate should have also qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) or other accredited test like SLET/SET in Library Science conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
6. Principal Scientific / Technical Officer
   No. of posts : 1
   Age Limit : Maximum 45 ears
   Pay scale : PB3 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs.7600/-
   Qualification : Candidate should have the degree of Ph.D. with 1st class or equivalent at B.Tech/M.Sc. with MBA.
   Experience : At least 10 years of industrial or research experience .
7. Executive Engineer ( Civil )
   No. of posts : 1
   Age Limit : Maximum 40 ears
   Pay scale : PB3 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs.6600/-
   Qualification : Candidate should have the degree of B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering with minimum 60% marks.
   Experience : At least 9 years regular service out of which not less than 5 years regular
   service as Assistant Engineer in GP of Rs. 5400/- or equivalent.
8. Students Activity & Sports Officers
   No. of posts : 1
   Age Limit : Maximum 40 years
   Pay scale : PB3 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs.6600/-
   Qualification : Candidate should have scored 55% marks at masters degree or its equivalent grade in Physical Education OR in any branch of Science or Arts, or a
   bachelors degree in Engineering.
   Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in a college/ university/sports/film/cultural environment and Ph. D. degree shall count as 5 years of experience.
9. Assistant Engineer ( Electrical & Civil )
   No. of posts : 2
   Age Limit : Maximum 40 years
   Pay scale B2 9300-34800/- with GP of Rs. 4600/-
   Qualification : Candidate should posses 1st class Diploma in Electrical/Civil Engineering .
10. Technical Assistant
    No. of posts : 6
    Age Limit : Maximum 32 years
    Pay scale B2 9300-34800/- with GP of Rs. 4200/-
    Qualification : Candidate should posses 1st class Diploma in Engg. in Civil / Elect. / Mech. (with experience in handling CNC machines will be preferred) / Electronics or its allied discipline or Computer Science (with experience in wireless networking will be preferred) / Metallurgy with Instrumentation / Structural.
11. Technician
    No. of posts : 5
    Age limit : Maximum 32 years
    Pay scale : PB 1 Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2000/-
    Qualification : Candidate should posses Diploma in Engineering of 3 years duration in Mech/Electronics / Computer Sc./Elect. Engg OR should have passed 12th and ITI Course of one year or higher duration in Mech/Electronics / Computer Sc./Elect. Engineering.
12. Lab Assistant
    No. of posts : 4
    Age limit : Maximum 32 years
    Pay scale : PB 1 Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2000/-
    Qualification : Candidate should have Diploma in Comp.Sc. Engg. or HSSC (10+2) with ITI Course of one year or higher duration in Computer Sc. OR SSC with 50% marks and ITI Certificate of two year duration in Comp.Sc.
13. Library Assistant
    No. of posts : 6
    Age limit : Maximum 32 years
    Pay scale : PB 1 Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2000/-
    Qualification : Candidate should posses Bachelors Degree in Library Science.
14. Accountant
    No. of posts : 1
    Age limit : Maximum 32 years
    Pay scale : PB 2 Rs. 9200 – 34800/- with GP of Rs. 4200/-
    Qualification : Candidate should have the degree of B.Com with knowledge of computer based accounting system. And Accountancy as a special subject, or a Chartered or
    Cost Account’s Degree or Diploma.
    Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in office management.
15. Junior Assistant
    No. of posts : 7
    Age limit : Maximum 32 years
    Pay scale : PB 1 Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2000/-
    Qualification : Candidate should have Bachelors Degree with a Typing speed of 40 w.p.m. and proficiency in Computer Word Processing.
