Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission ( UPPSC ) was setup on 1st April 1937. Its headquarter is located at Allahabad. The working of UPPSC is looked after by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Regulation, 1976. The main functions of UPPSC are recruitment of candidates for various posts , their promotions. It also gives advices to UP Government from time to time and makes service rules.

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the following posts:

1. Medical Officers
   No. of posts: 1262
   Age limit: 21 – 35 years
   Pay scale: Rs.15600-39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/-
   Qualifications: Candidate should have MBBS Degree and candidates with PG Degree / Diploma in Medical or Health Sciences in a particular subject of a University recognized by the Medical Council of India will be preferred.
2. Tax Superintendent
   No. of posts: 13
   Age limit: 21 – 35 years
   Pay scale: Rs.4500-7000/- with GP of Rs. 2800/-
   Qualification: Candidate should be Graduate with degree / diploma in Local Self Govt. or Public Administration.
3. Assistant Tax Superintendent
   No. of posts: 4
   Age limit: 21 – 35 years
   Pay scale: Rs.4000-6000/- with GP of Rs.2400/-
   Qualifications: Candidate should be Graduate with degree / diploma in Local Self Govt. or Public Administration.
4. Tax Superintendent
   No. of posts: 7
   Age limit: 21 – 35 years
   Pay scale: Rs.5000-8000/- with GP of Rs.4200/-
   Qualifications: Candidate should be Graduate with degree / diploma in Local Self Govt. or Public Administration.
5. Assistant Tax Superintendent
   No.of posts: 20
   Age limit: 21 – 35 years
   Pay scale: Rs.4500-7000/- with GP of Rs. 2800/-
   Qualification: Candidate should be Graduate with degree / diploma in Local Self Govt. or Public Administration.
6. Tax Superintendent
   No. of posts: 2
   Pay scale: Rs. 3200-4900/- with GP of Rs. 2000/-
   Age limit: 21-35 years
   Qualifications: Candidate  should be Graduate with degree / diploma in Local Self Govt. or Public Administration.
7. Tax Revenue Inspector
   No. of posts: 93
   Age limit: 21 – 35 years
   Pay scale: Rs. 3200-4900/- with GP of Rs. 2000/-
   Qualifications: Candidate should be Graduate with degree / diploma in Local Self Govt. or Public Administration .
8. Time Study Hands
   No. of posts: 4
   Pay scale: Rs.4500-7000/-
   Age limit: 21-35 years
   Qualifications : Candidate should have diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Textile/ Chemical engineering with experience in time study and photography.
