The Rubber Board was established on 18th April 1947 by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry of the Government of India. It was constituted for the overall development of the rubber industry in the country. The activities of the Board are classified under the departments of Administration , Finance & Accounts (F&A), Rubber Production (RP), Research (RRII), Processing & Product Development (P&PD), Statistics & Planning (S&P), Training, Licensing & Excise Duty(L&ED) and Market Promotion. Its headquarter is situated in Kottayam Kerala.

Age limit :
For post no. 1 – 14: Maximum 50 years.
For post no. 15 – 18: Maximum 40 years.
For post no. 19 – 22 : Maximum 35 years.
Pay scale:
For post No. 1 – 14: PB-3 Rs.15600-39100/- with GP of Rs.6600/-
For Post No.15 – 18: PB-3 Rs.15600-39100/- with GP of Rs.5400/-
For Post no. 19 – 22: PB-2 Rs.9300-34800/- with GP of Rs.4600/-
