The National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science ( NICFS ) was established on 4th January 1972 by the Government of India under the Ministry of Home Affairs. It was formerly known as Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science. It was formed with the aim to look into the applied aspects of education, training and research in the fields of Criminology and Forensic Science to commensurate with the growing needs of the country in general and the Criminal Justice System in India in particular. It act as a center of in-service training for officers in police, judiciary and correctional services and also others engaged in the criminal justice system and its allied fields and to provide facilities for certificate and diploma courses in the various relevant subjects.

NICFS invites applications for the post of Forensic Science Teacher on contractual basis and the details are as following:

Forensic Science Teachers
Subjects:

• Chemistry
• Ballistics
• Computer Forensics
• Physics
• Biology
• Document Examination
• Forensic Psychology

Salary: Rs. 59000/-  Consolidated per month
Age limit: Maximum age of candidate should be 67 years.
Job Description: Lectures in PG Courses/Training Courses, taking practical classes, Laboratory work Research, and other academic and training work.
Qualification: Candidate should posses Masters degree in the relevant field with atleast 11 years of experience in the same field or experience of teaching Forensic Science at PG level OR experience as Forensic Science case reporting officers at Group–A level in a Central/State Forensic Science Laboratory or GEQD/Handwriting Bureau. Candidate should have perfect communication skill and knowledge of computers .
Period of Contract: For a period of one year or till regular incumbent joins whichever is earlier.
