Vacancy in Indian Coast Guard 2010


The Indian Coast Guard was established for the enforcement of provisions of all national enactment in force in the maritime zones of India and provides useful services to the Nation and marine community. Its main aim and work is to save offshore wealth , assists mariners in distress and safeguard life and property at sea and collects scientific data and backup the Navy during the war time. Its headquarter is located in New Delhi.

Applications are invited by Indian Coast Guard for the various posts and the details are :

1. Assistant Commandant ( General Service )
Pay scale: Rs.15600-39100/- + GP of Rs. 5400/-
Age limit: 21 – 25 years
Qualifications: Candidate should be graduate in any stream with Maths and Physics as a compulsory subject till 12th std.

2. Assistant Commandant ( Pilot Navigator )
Pay scale: Rs.15600-39100/- + GP of Rs. 5400/-
Age limit: 19 – 27 years
Qualifications: Candidate should have bachelors degree with Maths and Physics as a compulsory subject in graduation.

3. Assistant Commandant ( Technical Branch )
Pay scale: Rs.15600-39100/- + GP of Rs. 5400/-
Age limit: 21 – 30 years
Qualifications: Candidate should have the degree in Naval Architecture/ Mechanical Engineering/ marine from any institutes recognised by AICTE .
