The Indira Gandhi National Open University ( IGNOU ) was established on 19th November 1985 . It was founded by Rajiv Gandhi and is the largest university all over the world. It is the National Resource Centre for Open and Distance Learning with international recognition and presence, shall provide seamless access to sustainable and learner-centric quality education, skill up gradation and training to all by using innovative technologies and methodologies and ensuring convergence of existing systems for massive human resource required for promoting integrated national development and global understanding. It provides not only higher education to large sections of the population, but particularly disadvantaged segments of society. It also encourage, coordinate and assist Open Universities and Distance Education systems while determining standards in such systems in the country and develops networks using emerging technologies and methods with global reach for effective programme delivery.

IGNOU invites applications for the post of Consultants and the details are as following:

1. Consultant at Junior Level with the pay scale of Rs. 15000-22500/- per month ( Consolidated ).
2. Consultant at Middle Level with the pay scale of Rs. 22500 – 30000/- per month ( Consolidated ).
3. Consultant at Senior level with the pay scale of Rs. 30000 – 37500/- per month ( Consolidated ).

Total No. of posts: 4
Age limit for all the levels: Candidates should not be more than 60 years,
Qualifications: Candidates should have the degree of MBA / M.Com / M.A. ( Economics or Financial Management ) and preference will be given to the candidates with Ph.D degree of those who have submitted Ph.D Thesis and each and every candidate should have the knowledge of computers.
Duration: Initially for 1 year and likely to be extended for further depending on performances.
