Vacancy in IAMR 2010
The Institute of Applied Manpower Research (IAMR) was set up in 1962 by the Govt. of India. The Govt. of India appoints the Director of this institute. The Institutes faculty have international experience. Guest Faculty from India and abroad are invited to teach in its education and training programmes in collaboration with the Institute’s own faculty.
The Institute of Applied Manpower Research (IAMR) invites applications for the following posts:
CHIEF
· No. of posts: 1(UR)
· Pay Scale: Rs.37400-67000 + 8700/-GP
· Qualifications: Candidates should have Master’s Degree in Management or Economics or Statistics. Candidates with a Doctorate Degree in above areas will be given preference.
· Experience: Candidates should have at least 15 years of post-qualification (i.e. M.A) research experience in Statistics / Econometrics/ Labour Economics/ Industrial Economics / Economics of Health /Education/Rural Development. Candidates having a practical experience of handling consultancy research projects in fields related to human development, manpower planning or development of information system and data bank will be given preference.
Departmental Joint Chiefs in the scale of pay of Rs.15600-39100+7600/-GP with 5 years regular service as Joint Chief and having the qualification and experience as indicated above are eligible to apply for the same.
· Age Criteria: Candidates should be below 50 years of age
JOINT CHIEF
· No. of Posts: 2(1 for OBC and 1 for UR)
· Pay scale: Rs. 15600-39100 + 7600/-GP
· Qualifications: Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Management or Economics or Statistics. Candidates possessing a Doctorate Degree in above areas will be preferred.
· Experience: Candidates should have at least 7 years of post-qualification(i.e. MA)research experience in Statistics / Econometrics/ Labour Economics/ Industrial Economics / Economics of Health /Education/Rural Development.Candidates having their work published in national or international journals will be given preference.
Departmental Sr. Research Officers in the scale of pay of Rs.15600-39100+6600/-GP with 5 years regular service as SRO and having the qualification and experience as indicated above are eligible to apply for the post of Joint Chief.
· Age Criteria: Candidates should be below 45 years of age.
SENIOR RESEARCH OFFICER
· No. of Posts: 2(1 for OBC and 1 for UR)
· Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 + 6600/-GP
· Qualifications: Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Management or Economics or Statistics. Candidates possessing a Doctorate Degree in above areas will be preferred.
· Experience: Candidates should have at least 5 years of post-qualification (i.e. MA) research experience in Statistics / Econometrics/ Labour Economics/ Industrial Economics / Economics of Health /Education/Rural Development.Candidates having their work published in national or international journals will be given preference.
Departmental Research Officers in the scale of pay of Rs.15600-39100+5400/-GP with 5 years regular service as RO and having the qualification and experience as indicated above are eligible to apply for the post of Sr. Research Officer.
· Age Criteria: Candidates should be below 45 years of age.
RESEARCH OFFICER
· No. of Posts: 1(UR)
· Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 + 5400/-GP
· Qualifications: Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Management or Economics or Statistics. Candidates should have proficiency in computer use.
· Experience: Candidates should have Post Qualification (i.e. M.A) research experience Departmental Research Associates in the scale of pay of Rs.9300-34800+4200/-GP and having the qualification and experience as indicated above are eligible to apply for the post of Research Officer.
NOTE:
The candidates applying for the post of Chief, Joint Chief and SRO have to enclose 3 pieces of written work along with an application.
