Vacancy in HP PSC April 2010


Himachal Pradesh attained statehood on 25th January, 1971 and from then only State Public Service Commission i.e. Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission ( HPPSC ) was established. The office of the commission is locatedĀ  at Nigam Vihar (Chotta Shimla) on Cart Road. The Commission consists of a Chairman and three Members. The terms and conditions of service of Chairman and Members of the Commission are being governed under the State Public Service Commission (MEMBER) Regulations, 1971.

HP PSC invites applications from Indian Nationals for the post on the basis of H.P. Forest Services (Assistant Conservator of Forests) Examination, 2010 and the details are as follows:

No. of posts: 5
Age limit: 21-34 years
Pay scale: Rs. 7220-11660/-(Pre-revised)
Qualifications: Candidate should have the degree of B.Sc or Engineering with any of the subjects( Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Application/Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science,
Zoology). OR Candidate should be Honours certificate holders of any of the Government run Forest Rangers Colleges . The knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal
Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the State of Himachal Pradesh is desired.

Application fees: DD of Rs.250/- drawn in favour of Secretary, H.P. Public Service Commission payable at Shimla.
