Guru Nanak Eye Centre was established in 1972. It is the best and the no. one eye hospital in Delhi. The name of institution was adopted as GNEC with a view to maintain the teaching of Guru Nanak & initial support was provided by Gurudawara Prabanthak Committee Delhi. It is 185 bedded hospital for eye patients. It is is the Eye department of Maulana Azad Medical College, under Government of NCT, Delhi. It provides free checkups to all the patients. It gives  OPD services, indoor services, operation theatre (24 hours) facilities, emergency services (24 hours), Speciality clinics, Eye Banks, Community eye services through peripheral health centre at Narela, Delhi and by being a referral center of the Motia- Mukti-Bind Abhiyan Programme of Government of NCT, Delhi.

GNEC invites applications for the various posts on regular basis and the details are as follows:

1. 6 posts are for Senior Residents ( Ophthalmology )
   Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 35 years of age.
   Pay scale: Rs. 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs.6600/- per month
   Qualifications: Candidate should posses post graduate degree or diploma form a recognized university registered with Delhi Medical Council and have not completed 03 years Senior Residency.
2. 4 posts are for Senior Residents ( Anaesthesia )
   Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 35 years of age.
   Pay scale: Rs. 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs.6600/- per month
   Qualifications: Candidate should posses post graduate degree or diploma form a recognized university registered with Delhi Medical Council and have not completed 03 years Senior Residency.
3. 12 posts are for Junior Residents ( Non – PG )
   Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 30 years of age.
   Pay scale: Rs. 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs.5400/- per month
   Qualification: Candidate should be MBBS with internship completion certificate and should be registered with Delhi Medical Council .

Date of written test and interview for Senior Residents ( Anaesthesia ) : 2nd July 2010
Date of written test and interview for Senior Residents ( Ophthalmology ) : 8th July 2010
Date of interview for Junior Residents : 5th July 2010
