The Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited ( GRSE ) was established in 1884 by the Government of India under the Ministry of Defence. It is situated on the Eastern Bank of the river Hooghly. It is one of the leading shipyards in the country and the premier yard in the East. Its main work is to builds  a wide range of ships from modern Warships to sophisticated Commercial Vessels, from small Harbour Craft to fast and powerful Patrol Vessels.

GRSE invites applications for the following posts :

1.Assistant Manager
No. of posts: 10
Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 37 years of age.
Pay scale: Rs.16400-3%-40500/-
Field: Naval Architecture
Qualifications: Candidate should have done Engineering Graduation in Naval Architecture with 1 year of post qualification experience.

2.General manager
No. of posts: 3
Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 52 years of age.
Pay scale: Rs. 43200-3%-6200/-
Qualifications: Candidate should have done Engineering Graduation in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics with at least 22 years of experience in ship building industry .

3.Additional General Manager
No. of posts: 2
Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 50 years of age.
Pay scale: Rs.36600-3%-62000/-
Qualifications: Candidate should have done Engineering Graduation in Mechanical / Electrical with at least 22 years of relevant experience.

4.Deputy General manager
No. of posts: 8
Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 50 years of age.
Pay scale: Rs.32900-3%-58000/-
Qualifications: Candidate should have done Engineering Graduation in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics with at least 15 years of experience in the relevant field.

5.Senior Manager
No. of posts: 1
Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 47 years of age.
Pay scale: Rs.29100-3%-54500/-
Qualifications: Candidate should have done Engineering Graduation in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics with 11 years of experience in ship building / heavy engineering industry .

6.Manager
No. of posts: 8
Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 44 years of age.
Pay scale: Rs.24900-3%-50500/-
Qualifications: Candidate should have done Engineering Graduation in Mechanical /electrical and candidates with material management course will be preferred.

7. Deputy Manager
No. of posts: 6
Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 42 years of age.
Pay scale: Rs.20600-3%-46500/-
Qualifications: Candidate should have done Engineering Graduation in the relevant field with at least 5 years of experience.

8. Assistant Manager
no. of posts: 5
Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 37 years of age.
Pay scale: Rs.16400-3%-40500/-
Qualifications: Candidate should be graduate with with diploma in the relevant field 

9. Junior Manager
No. of posts: 1
Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 32 years of age.
Pay scale: Rs.12600-3%-32500/-
Qualifications: Candidate should have done Engineering Graduation in Mechanical / Electrical.

10. Supervisors
No. of posts: 12
Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 45 years of age.
Pay scale: Rs.9900/- in the pay scale of Rs.9900-23300/-
Qualifications: Candidate should have Diploma in in the relevant field from a recognised university .
