The Central University of Kerala was established under "The Central Universities Act, 2009 (Act No.25 of 2009)", situated at Kasaragod, the northern-most district of Kerala. For the University, this is a phase of vigorous consultation and planning for starting academic programme in the next few years. Experts from different parts of the country are participants in these meetings. All academic programmes are conceived to be held by Schools which are essentially inter-disciplinary in vision and mission. Each School has different Departments/Centres according to the discipline / subjects. The activities of the University are planned in order to contribute to the improvement of the social and economic conditions of the people by developing their intellectual, academic and cultural resources.

Applications are invited by The Central University of Kerala for the various posts:

1. Professors
   No. of posts: 5 ( 1 each for Comparative Literature, Economics, Animal Science, Genomic Science and Physics )
   Pay scale:  Rs.37400-67000/- +GP Rs. 10000/-
   Qualifications: Candidate should have the degree of MA with Ph.D in the relevant subject .
   Experience: At least 10 years of experience in teaching or experience of guiding research at doctoral level.
2. Associate Professors
   no. of posts: 12 ( 2 posts each for Comparative Literature, Economics, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Animal Sciences, Genomic Sciences, Physics )
   Pay scale: Rs.37400-67000/- +GP Rs. 9000/-
   Qualifications: Candidate should have Post Graduate degree in the respective field from any reputed university and Degree of MA and Ph.D is essential.
   Experience: At least 5 years of experience of teaching and/or research excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degree and has made some mark in the areas of scholarship as evidenced by quality of publications, contributions to educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula.
3. Assistant Professors
   No. of posts: 18 ( 3 posts each for Comparative Literature, Economics, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Animal Sciences, Genomic Sciences, Physics ).
   Pay scale: Rs. 15600-39100/- + Rs. GP of Rs.6000/-
   Qualification: Candidates should have the degree of MA with Ph.D in the relevant field .
   Experience: At least 5 years of experience in teaching and/or research.
4. Finance Officer
   Pay scale: Rs.37400-67000 + GP of Rs. 10000/-
   Qualifications: Candidate should have 55% marks in Masters degree or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale.
   Experience: At least 15 years of experience as Asst. Professor.
5. Assistant Registrar ( Finance )
   Pay scale: Rs. 15600-39100/- + GP of Rs. 5400/-
   Qualifications: Candidate should have Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale.
   Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Group B Officer in Auditing/Finance and Accounting in a Central/State University or Central/State Govt. institution/organization.
