University of Pune invites ONLINE applications for teaching positions in various departments and the details are as follows :

  1. Professors
    Pay scale : Rs.37400-67000/- with AGP of Rs.10000/-
    Qualification : Candidate should be a scholar with Ph.D. qualification in the concerned / allied / relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and / or research / policy papers with 10 years of teaching experience in university / college, and /
    or experience in research at the University / National Level institutions / industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level
    Experience : Minimum 10 years teaching experience at PG level.
    Departments : Hindi, Foreign Languages, Centre for Performing Arts, Politics & Public Administration, Sociology, Psychology, Communication & Journalism, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Geography, Stats, Environmental Science, Biotechnology & Instrumental Science.
  2. Associate Professors
    Pay scale : Rs.37400-67000/- with AGP of Rs.9000/-
    Qualification : Candidate should have Ph.D. degree in the concerned / allied / relevant disciplines with 55% marks in Masters degree .
    Experience : 8 years  of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic / research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution / industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
    Department : Hindi, Marathi, English, Foreign Languages, Sanskrit & Prakrit Language, Centre For Advanced studies Sanskrit, History, Politics & Public Administration, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Philosophy, Maths, Physics, Chemistry , Botany, Biotechnology, Stats, Atmospheric & Space Science, Law
  3. Assistant Professor
    Pay scale : Rs.15600-39100/- with AGP of Rs.6000/-
    Qualification : Candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET / SET. and NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Master’s Degree Programmes in disciplines for which NET/ SLET / SET accredited test is not conducted.
