The Tezpur University was formed in 1994. It provides employment oriented and interdisciplinary courses to meet the regional to national aspirations and the development of the state of Assam and also offer courses and promote research in areas which are of special and direct relevance to the region and in the emerging areas in Science and Technology .

Tezpur University invites applications for the following posts :

1. 1 post for MHRD IPR Chair Professor
   Pay scale : Rs. 37400 – 67000/- with AGP of Rs. 10000/-
   Qualification : Candidate should be engaged in research with high quality publications, preferably with Ph. D in Social Sciences / Economics / Business Administration / Physical
   Sciences / Life Sciences / Engineering.
   Experience : Minimum 10 years of experience of guiding research at doctoral level, post graduate teaching and/or experience in IPR research at University / National Level Institutions.
2. 2 posts are for Research Officers
   Pay scale : Rs. 25000/- per month
   Age limit : Maximum 40 years
   Qualification : Candidate should have scored minimum 55% marks at Masters degree in Social Sciences / Economics / Business Administration / Physical Sciences / Life Sciences / Engineering and should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET / SET.
   Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in research.
3. 1 post is for Stenographer cum Documentation Assistant
   Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2400/-
   Age limit : 18 – 27 years
   Qualification : Candidate should have scored at least 45% marks in Graduation with Diploma in stenography and should posses speed of 80 words per minute in English shorthand and 40 words per minute in English typewriting.
