SVNIT Recruitment 2012 for Assistant Professor


Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology or SVNIT was formed in 1962 by the Government of India in Gujarat. It an engineering and technological institute of national importance. Its basically cater to the India’s growing need for research & development and technological manpower by training scientists and engineers in various fields. All the under graduate and post graduate courses related to engineering, technology, science, management and humanities are provided here. It is one of the leading NIT all over the country.

SVNIT invites applications from Indian Nationals for the post of Assistant Professors in various disciplines under the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100/- with GP Rs.6000/-. Interested and eligible candidates can apply before 15th February 2012 by sending an application form in a prescribed format. All the vacancies are under Special Recruitment Drive. Total 15 posts are available for Assistant Professors in the discipline of Civil Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and English. For this post, candidates should posses Ph.D degree along with 1st class graduation degree in the relevant branch/ discipline. Selection will be through written test/ interview.
