Survey of India Recruitment 2012


The Survey of India was formed in 1767. It is the oldest engineering department of the Government of India and is India’s central engineering agency in charge of mapping and surveying. At present, it is owned by the Government of India under the department of Science & Technology. Its head quarter is located at Dehradun. It has 23 Geo-spatial data centres situated at different locations of the country.

Survey of India invites applications from Indian nationals for teh post of Topo Trainee Type ‘A’ at various locations. Interested and eligible candidates can apply before 1st March 2012 by sending an application for along with the required documents like copies of certificates, mark sheets. Selection will be through written test in Mathematics, English, General Knowledge with science. This test is going to be held on 15th April 2012.

Total 16 vacancies are available for the post of Topo Trainees Type ‘ A’ [ T.T.T.A ] for the location of Geodetic & Research Branch, National Geo-spatial Data Centre, Digital Mapping Centre, Andhra Pradesh Geo-spatial Data Centre and GIS&RS Remote Sensing Dte under the pay scale of Rs.5200-20200/- along with Rs.1900/- as grade pay during training and after completion of training. candidates will be placed under the pay scale of Rs.9300-34800/- along with grade pay of Rs.4200/-. For this post, candidates should be between 18-27 years of age and should posses degree of B.Sc with Mathematics with minimum 45% marks.
