Shivaji University was established in 1962. The jurisdiction of the University is spread over three districts viz. kolhapur, Sangli and Satara with strength of about 2 lakh students studying in 225 affiliated colleges and recognised Institutes. The University is encouraging merit by introducing an unique scheme called ‘Shivaji University Merit Scholarship’. The future plans of the University includes establishment of School of Rural management, Research Institute of Bio- Technology and Advanced Centre of Information Technology.

Professor/Librarian
Posts: 17
Experience: Candidates should be an scholar with published work of high quality engaged in research with having 10 years of experience in postgraduate teaching, and/or experience in research at the University/National Level institutions, including experience of guiding research at doctoral level.
Librarian :Candidates should have a Master Degree in Library Science/ Information Science / Documentation with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade of B in the UGC Seven Point Scale with at least 13 years of experience in the relevant field.

Associate Professor/Dy. Librarian/Ass. Director
Posts: 15
Experience: Candidates apply for Associate Professor/Dy.Librarian/Ass.Director  should have 5 years /5 years/ 5years experience in the relevant field.
Assistant Professor/Scientific Professor
Posts: 24
Candidates should have pass NET/SET for appointment at the entry level of Assistant Professor. Candidates for Scientific professor should be M.Sc/BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation or related area with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.
Special Recruitment :
Professor
Posts: 9
