Sashastra Seema Bal ( SSB ) is established in 1963 by the Government of India under the Administrative control of Ministry of Home Affairs. It was formerly known as the Special Service Bureau. It is a Border Guarding Force. The highest-level headquarter of the force is the Force Headquarters (FHQ), also called the Directorate General of SSB, located in New Delhi.

SSB invites applications from Indian Nationals for the following posts :

1. Sub Inspector ( Telecom )
   no. of posts : 33
   Pay scale : Rs. 9300 – 34800/- + GP of Rs. 4200/-
   Age limit : 18 – 25 years
   Qualification : Candidate should have the degree in Electronics or Telecommunications .
2. Sub Inspector ( Pioneer )
   No. of posts : 37
   Pay scale : Rs. 9300 – 34800/- + GP of Rs. 4200/-
   Age limit : 20 – 25 years
   Qualification : candidate should have passed 12th with Science stream and should have Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
3. ASI ( Telecom )
   No. of posts : 91
   Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- + GP of Rs. 2800/-
   Age limit : 18 – 25 years
   Qualification : Candidate should have passed 10th Exam with Diploma in Electronics / Telecommunications .
4. Head Constable ( Electrician )
   No. of posts : 42
   Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- + GP of Rs. 2400/-
   Age limit : 18 – 25 years
   Qualification : candidate should have passed 12th with certificate / diploma in the trade of Electrician.
5. Head Constable ( Workshop )
   No. of posts : 47
   Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- + GP of Rs. 2400/-
   Age limit : 18 – 24 years
   Qualification : Candidate should have passed matriculation exam with Diploma in Automobile Engineering and 2 years of experience in authorised Garage and also should have valid driving license for heavy vehicles.
6. Head Constable ( Telecom )
   No. of posts : 621
   Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- + GP of Rs. 2400/-
   Age limit : 18 – 23 years
   Qualification : Candidate should have passed 10th with 2 years of ITI Certificate in Electronics.
7. Constable ( Telecom )
   No. of posts : 271
   Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- + GP of Rs. 2000/-
   Age limit : 18 – 23 years
   Qualification : Candidate should have passed metric exam with Science as a subject.
8. ASI ( Steno )
   No. of posts : 68
   Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- + GP of Rs. 2800/-
   Age limit : 18 – 25 years
   Qualification : candidate should have passed 12th examination .
9. Constable ( Vety )
   No. of posts : 135
   Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- + GP of Rs. 2000/-
   Age limit : 18 – 23 years
   Qualification :Candidate should have passed metric exam with Science as a subject with 1 year of experience in treatment of different species of animals in a recognized Veterinary Hospital.
