The Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics ( SINP) was established in 1950 in Kolkata by Professor Meghnad Saha. Formerly it was known as Institute of Nuclear Physics. It is basically an institute of basic scientific research and a part of The University of Calcutta. About 125 faculty members of the Institute engaged in research in various fields such as Condensed Matter Physics, Material Physics, Nuclear Physics, High Energy Physics and Microelectronics, Theoretical Physics as well as Biophysical Sciences.

SINP invites applications from Indian National for the post of Lower Division Clerks ( LDC ) and the details are as following :

Lower Division Clerk ( LDC )
No. of vacancies : 9 posts ( % for General, 1 for SC and 3 posts are for ST )
Pay scale : Pay Band – 1 Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/-
Age limit : Minimum 18 and maximum 27 years
Qualification : Candidate should Graduate or Higher Secondary passed Maths & English with minimum 3 years of experience in routine office work. Candidate should know typing with the speed of 30 words per minute in English and should have the knowledge of MS office application & shorthand.

Last date for the receipt of application : 31st August 2010
Application fees for General category : Demand Draft of Rs. 100/- drawn in favour of Registrar, Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics payable at Kolkata.
