RMA was renamed as Ranchi Institute of Neuro Psychiatry & Allied Sciences ( RINPAS ) on 10th January 1998. The duty of RINPAS is to take care of mentally unhealthy people by improving the quality assurance, rehabilitation, community outreach programme, teaching and research activities. It is a recognised teaching centre for M.B.B.S. students who are posted here from different medical colleges of Jharkhand and Bihar in different batches for psychiatric training.

RINPAS invites applications for the various posts :

1. Professor
   No. of posts : 1
   Speciality : Psychiatric Social work
   Pay scale : Rs. 37400 – 67000/- with GP of Rs. 10000/-
   Age limit : Candidate should not be more than 55 years of age.
2. Associate Professor
   No. of posts : 7
   Speciality : Psychiatry , Clinical Psychology , Psychiatric social work
   Pay scale : Rs. Rs. 37400 – 67000/- with GP of Rs. 8700/-
   Age limit : Candidate should not be more than 50 years of age
3. Assistant professor
   No. of posts : 12
   Specialists : Psychiatry , Clinical Psychology , Psychiatric social work, Neurology , Biostatistics, Psychiatric Nursing.
   Pay scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 6600/-
   Age limit : Candidate should not be more than 45 years of age.
4. Nursing Tutor
   No. of posts :2
   Speciality : Psychiatric Nursing
   Pay scale : Rs. 9300 – 34800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/-
   Age limit : Candidate should not be more than 45 years of age.
5. Radiology
   No. of posts : 1
   Pay scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 6600/-
   Age limit : Candidate should not be more than 45 years of age
6. Psychiatric Social Worker
   No. of posts : 4
   Pay scale : Rs. 9300 – 34800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/-
   Age limit : Candidate should not be more than 35 years of age.
