Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology ( RGIPT ) was established by the Government of India under the Ministry of Petroleum & natural gas. The main aim of the Institute is to provide world class education, training, and research to roll out efficient human resources to meet the growing requirements of the Petroleum & Energy sector. The aspiration is to develop India as a global manpower hub for the entire Petroleum and Energy Sector.

Applications are invited by RGIPT for the various posts in different disciplines :

Discipline : Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and English.

1. Professors
   Pay scale : Rs. 37400 – 67000/- with AGP of Rs. 10500/-
   Qualification : candidate should have 1st class Ph.D Degree at the preceding degree in the
   appropriate branch of Engineering/ Technology/ Applied Science/ English as the case may be with at least 10 years of experience in teaching/ industry/ research, out of which a minimum of 4 years must be at the level of Associate Professor and/or equivalent
   senior level position comparable to that of Associate Professor.
2. Associate Professor
   Pay scale : Rs. 37400 – 67000/- with AGP of Rs. 9500/-
   Qualification : Candidate should have 1st class Ph.D Degree at the preceding degree in the
   appropriate branch of Engineering/ Technology/ Applied Science/ English as the case may be with at least 6 years of experience in teaching/research/industry out of which at least 3 years must be at the level of Assistant Professor and/ or equivalent senior level position comparable to that of an Assistant Professor.
3. Assistant Professors
   Pay scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with AGP of Rs. 8000/-
   Qualification : Candidate should have 1st class Ph.D Degree at the preceding degree in the
   appropriate branch of Engineering/ Technology/ Applied Science/ English as the case may be with at least 3 years of experience in teaching/research/industry after Ph.D. The
   candidate should have demonstrated research capabilities in terms of publications in reputed journals outside of PhD work.
