Railway Service Commission was renamed as Railway Recruitment Board ( RRB ) in 1985. It’s main work is to formulate the policies of the recruitment procedure regarding railway. At present in India we have 19 RRBs. Railway Recruitment Control Board (RRCB) was set up in 1998 in the Ministry of Railways. The main objective of RRCB is to monitoring the activities of RRBs including the expenditure incurred for recruitment.
