PSC WB Recruitment for English Typists 2010


Public Service Commission, West Bengal ( PSC WB ) was established in 1937. The values of independence, impartiality and integrity are the basic determinants of the constitutional conception of Public Service Commission. It conduct examinations mainly for appointments to the services and posts of West Bengal Government. The Chairman may constitute Board consisting of one or more Members for dealing with cases of recruitment by selection, promotion, examination or of any other matter. The Board may be assisted by the outside experts invited by the Commission as and when necessary.

PSC WB invites applications from Indian Nationals for the post of English Typists’ (Basic Grade) and the details are as following :

English Typists’ (Basic Grade)
No. of posts : Will be announced later
Pay scale : Pay Band – 2 Rs.5,400-25,200/- + Grade Pay of Rs.2,600/-
Age limit : Minimum 18 years & maximum 37 years
Gross Emolument : Rs. 11227/- besides M.A. and H.R.A. admissible as per rules.
Qualification : Candidate should have passed Madhyamik Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent with certificate course of Computer Operations and should know the Bengali Language. Candidate should be able to transcribe at the rate of 30 words per minute to be tested by the Commission at the Main Examination.

Application fees : Rs. 110/- by Indian Postal Order which must be purchased on a date after publication of this advertisement and crossed and endorsed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal or by a receipted challan from a Govt.
