Power Grid the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) of the country and one of the largest and best managed Transmission Utilities in the world. It is engaged in power transmission business with the mandate for planning, co-ordination, supervision and control over complete inter-State transmission system. It has also taken initiative for development of major transmission highways using higher transmission voltage levels, i.e. 765 kV EHV AC and ±500 kV HVDC as a viable alternatives to achieve efficient utilization of existing RoW and increased power transfer capability for transfer of bulk power over long distances.

Power Grid Nagpur invites applications for the following posts :

1. Diploma Trainee ( Electrical )
   no. of posts : 17
   Age limit : Maximum 27 years
   Stipend : Rs. 16500/- per month during the training period.
   Qualification : Candidate should posses Diploma in Electrical Engineering with at least 70% marks.
2. Diploma Trainee ( Civil )
   No. of posts : 8
   Age limit : Maximum 27 years
   Stipend : Rs. 16500/- per month during the training period.
   Qualification : Candidate should posses Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 70% marks.
3. Assistant ( Finance )
   no. of posts : 8
   Pay scale : Rs. 5400 – 10350/-
   Age limit : Maximum 28 years
   Qualification : Candidate should have the degree of graduation in commerce with 1st division and the degree of M.Com is desirable. And should have at least 1 year of post qualification experience in Finance and Accounts functions of an Organization of repute. Should have experience in processing payment and maintenance of Accounts of the Organization. Should have worked on Computers and familiar with various software used in Finance and Accounting functions.
4. Junior Technician Trainee ( Electrical )
   no. of posts : 56
   Stipend : Rs. 11,000/-per month during training period.
   Age limit : Maximum 27 years
   Qualification : Candidate should have the degree of ITI in Electrician Trade of two years duration.

Last date : 6th September 2010
