Public Service Commission West Bengal ( PSCWB ) was setup in April 1937. It is a constitutional Body for the recruitment of candidates to various civil services posts all over the state. It comprises of 1 chairman and 4 other members. It also provides advices to the government on the method of recruitment to civil service posts . It is is proud of its glorious existence and is pledged to discharge its constitutional obligations faithfully and efficiently in the days to come.

PSC WB invites applications from Indian Citizens for the following examinations:

1. Assistant Public Prosecutor’s Recruitment Examination 2010
   No. of posts: 50
   Pay scale: Rs.9000-40500/- with GP of Rs.5400/-
   Age limit: 25 – 35 years
   Qualifications: Candidate should have the Degree of law from a reputed university with at least 3 years of practice as a lawyer and must be an Advocate or Barrister – at – Law.
2. West Bengal Legal Service Examination 2010
   No. of posts: 41
   Pay scale: Rs. 9000-40500/- with GP of Rs.5400/-
   Age limit: 23 – 35 years
   Qualifications: Candidate should have the degree of law from a recognised university.
3. West Bengal Forest Service and West Bengal Subordinate Forest Service Examination 2010
   Pay scale: Rs. 9000-40500/- with GP of Rs.5400/- AND Rs. 7100-37600/- with GP of Rs.3900/-
   Age limit: 21- 32 years
   Qualifications: Candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering of any recognized University or Institute with at least one of the following subjects : Agriculture, Botany,Chemistry, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Agricultural Engineering,
   Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology.
4. West Bengal Audit and Accounts Service Examination 2010
   No. of posts: 36
   Pay sale: Rs. 9000-40500/- with GP of Rs.5400/-
   Age limit: Maximum 32 years
   Qualifications: Candidate should have the degree of B.Com or Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or Members of the Institute of Costs and Works Accountants of India.
