The Pasteur Institute of India ( PII ) Coonoor was established on 6th April 1907 by the Government of India under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. It is one of the leading Institute in the production of Antirabies Vaccine and DPT group of Vaccines. In 1970 PII, Coonoor developed, produced and supplied BPL  inactivated Rabies Vaccine, which made the treatment easier, cheaper with less dose, injections and side effects with a vaccine of increased potency. This Institute is recognized by the Tamilnadu Dr. M. G. R. Medical University, Madras for M.D degree in Microbiology and by the Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore for Ph.D. Degree in Microbiology in the faculty of Science.

PII Coonoor invites applications for the various posts :

1. Administrative Officer ( Group ‘A’ )
   Pay scale : Rs. 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs. 5400/-
   Age limit : Candidate should not be more than 45 years.
   Qualification : Candidate should have PG Degree in any faculty of Science / Commerce / Arts / Administration / Management with MBA .
   Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior capacity in any commercial organization.
2. Research Officer ( Group ‘A’ )
   Pay scale : Rs. 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs. 5400/-
   Age limit : Candidate should not be more than 40 years.
   Qualification : Candidate should be MBBS with minimum 2 years of experience OR degree of M.Sc ( Microbiology ) with minimum 3 years of experience in medical microbiology department / laboratory after PG qualification.
3. Medical Officer ( Group ‘ A ‘ )
   Pay scale : Rs. 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs. 5400/-
   Age limit : Candidate should not be more than 30 years.
   Qualification : Candidate should posses MBBS degree with the work experience in clinical laboratory.
4. Research Assistant ( Group ‘ C ‘ )
   No. of posts : 2
   Pay scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2800/-
   Age limit : Candidate should not be more than 30 years.
   Qualification : Candidate should posses the degree of M.Sc ( Microbiology ) of medical faculty / M.Sc ( Biochemistry ) / M.Sc ( Pharmacology ) of medical Faculty / B.Sc in science subjects with minimum 3 years of experience microbiology / biochemistry / biotechnology  and related disciplines in any departments.
