The Orissa Public Service Commission ( OPSC )was established on 1st April 1949. Its head office is situated at Cuttack in the State of Orissa. The Commission comprises of Chairman and five other Members. It gives advice on matters relating to promotion of officers and fixation of inter seniority etc., with regard to officers of Group ‘B’ . Its main function is the recruitment of candidates to different posts/services belonging to Group ‘B’ and above under the State Government. The Commission after due deliberation constitute the Interview Boards which are required to make the selection with the assistance of the Experts from the concerned subjects. The concerned administrative departments are requested to depute their representative to be present in the Interview Board.

OPSC  invites application from Indian nationals for the post of Insurance Medical Officer in Junior Class – I and the details are as following :

Insurance Medical Officer in Junior Class – I ( Group A ) of Orissa E.S.I Medical Services Cadre

Department : Labour & Employment department
No. of posts : 39 ( 19 – SEBC, 10 – SC, 10- ST )
Pay scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-
Age limit : Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years of age.
Qualification : Candidate should have the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery ( MBBS ) from any recognized university in the Indian Union or should be a holder of Registrable medical qualification from any recognised medical college of United Kingdom. and should have passed screening test conducted by National Board of Examination

Last date : 25th September 2010
Examination fees : Examination fees of Rs. 50/- either in form of deposit in the Government Treasury under the Head 0051-P.S.C. – 105 – State P.S.C. Examination Fees or in the form of crossed Indian Postal Order Payable to The Secretary Orissa Public Service Commission at General Post Office , Cuttack. or DD drawn in favour of Secretary Orissa Public Service Commission payable at any schedule bank of Cuttack.
