Orissa Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL ) is one of the largest Transmission Utility in the country was incorporated in March 2004 under the Companies act 1956. It is wholly owned by the Government with having registered office at Bhubaneswar, the capital of the state of Orissa. Presently the Company is carrying on intra state transmission and wheeling of electricity under a licence issued by the Orissa Electricity Regulatory Commission.

OPTCL invites applications for the following positions:

Management Trainees:
Finance
Posts: 10
Qualification: Candidates should passed the Final examination of Charted Accountant of India/ Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.
Electrical
Posts: 138
Qualification: Candidates should have a degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronic Engineering with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University/ Institution or passing of Section A&B of IE (India) in relevant discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Civil
Posts: 1
Qualification: Candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University/ Institution or passing of Section A&B of IE (India) in relevant discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Information Technology
Posts: 4
Qualification: Candidates should be BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or MCA with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University/ Institution or passing of Section A&B of IE (India) in relevant discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

Note:
Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 32 years as on 1.04.2010 for above posts.
Candidate must pass the Oriya language Test equivalent to M.E. Alternatively, the candidates has to pass the requisite language test in Oriya within one year of appointment.
