North Eastern Coalfields ( NEC ) is a part of Coal India limited ( CIL ) . In 1982 the first colliery Ledo Underground mine was opened. It’s fields are operating in states of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. North Eastern Region consists of seven states; only Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland are endowed with moderate coal reserves. NEC coals are situated in deep forest areas and having steep dips of 15° – 80° and difficult geo-mining conditions, achieved highest coal production of 1.1 MT in the year 2005-06 surpassing all the previous records and came into profit mode.

Applications are invited by North Eastern Coalfields, Margherita from Indian Nationals for the following posts :

Grade : T & S ‘ C’
Age limit : Minimum 18 years and Maximum 30 years
Pay scale : Rs. 11647.46 plus other allowances as per NCWA-VIII

1. Overman
   No. of posts : 8
   Qualification : Candidate should hold Diploma in Mining Engineering of 3 years with Valid Gas Testing Certificate, valid First Aid & Overmanship Certificate of competency granted by DGMS.
2. Mining Sirdar
   no. of posts : 20
   Qualification : Candidate should have passed Matriculation or equivalent examination and should have Valid Certificate of Mining Sirdarship, First Aid & Gas Testing Certificate issued by DGMS under Coal Mine Regulation 1957.
3. Deputy Surveyor
   no. of posts : 1
   Qualifications : Candidate should have passed Matriculation examination and should have Surveyor Certificate of Competency granted by DGMS which should be valid for working in
   Coal Mines only and candidates with diploma will be preferred.
4. Assistant Foreman ( Electrical ), Trainee
   No. of posts : 2
   Qualification : Candidate should should posses 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
