National Institute of Technology ( NIT ) Sikkim was established by the Government of India under the Ministry of Human Resource Development. It is one among the ten newly sanctioned NITS by the Government of India in 2009 under the 11th Five year Plan. It is a University which awards B.Tech., M.C.A., M.Sc., M.B.A.,M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees to students after their successful completion of the specified courses.

NIT Sikkim invites applications from Indian Citizens for the various non teaching posts and the details are :

1. 1 post for Registrar
   Pay scale: PB – 4 with Grade pay of Rs. 10000/-
2. 1 for Assistant Registrar
   Pay scale: PB – 3 with Grade pay of Rs. 5400/-
   Age limit: maximum 32 years
   Qualifications: Candidate should have masters degree in Business Administration, Arts, Science or Commerce and Knowledge of financial management and accounting practices is desirable with 5 years of Administrative experience in a major educational or R& D Institution, Public Sector undertaking, Bank.
3. 1 for Technical Assistant
   Pay scale: PB – 2 with Grade pay of Rs. 4200/-
   Age limit: maximum 30 years
   Qualifications: Candidate should have Bachelors Degree in Science/Engineering OR First Class Diploma in Engineering.
4. 1 for Superintendent / Accountant
   Pay scale: PB – 2 with Grade pay of Rs. 4200/-
   Age limit: maximum 30 years
   Qualifications: Candidate should have Bachelor Degree with 2 years experience in office management.
5. 1 for Stenographer
   Pay scale: PB – 2 with Grade pay of Rs. 4200/-
   Age limit: maximum 28 years
   Qualifications: Candidate should have bachelors degree with the knowledge of shorthand of speed 80 words per minute and typing speed of 40 words per minute and proficiency in computers is necessary.
6. 2 posts are for Technicians
   Pay scale: PB – 2 with Grade pay of Rs. 4200/-
   Age limit: maximum 28 years
   Qualifications: Candidate should have Diploma in Engineering of 3 years duration in appropriate field OR B.Sc Degree in Appropriate field OR Senior Secondary(10+2) and Certificate in ITI Course .
7. 2 for Junior Assistants
   Pay scale: PB – 2 with Grade pay of Rs. 4200/-
   Age limit: maximum 28 years
   Qualifications: Candidate should have Bachelors Degree with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm and proficiency in computer word processing.
