The National Institute of Technology, Durgapur was established in 1960. .It is a fully-funded premier Technological Institution of the Government of India and is administered by an autonomous Board of Governors. NIT, Arunachal Pradesh is one of new NITs to be mentored by NIT, Durgapur.

1. Professors
   No. of posts : 1
   Discipline : CSE/ECE/EEE
   Pay scale : PB – 3 Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 6000/-
2. Associate Professors
   No. of vacancies : 2 posts
   Disciplines: CSE/ECE/EEE
   Pay scale : PB – 4 Rs. 37400 – 67000/- with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 9000/-
3. Assistant Professors
   No. of vacancies : 5 posts
   Discipline : Physics , Chemistry, Life science , Communicative English, Mathematics.
   Pay scale : PB – 4 Rs. 37400 – 67000/- with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 10000/-
   Minimum Salary: Rs. 43000/-

Application fees : Demand Draft ( DD ) of Rs. 600/- drawn in favour of the Director, NIT, Durgapur payable at SBI, RE College Branch, Durgapur – 713209.
