Government Jobs

The National Institute of Technology , Agartala ( NITA ) was setup by the Government of India in 1965. Its aim is to help to improve the economic development of the country particularly the North-East states and also the public systems, through pursuit of excellence in technical education, research, consultancy and training. It is one of the 20 National Level Technical Institutes.

Applications are invited by NITA for the following posts:

1. Assistant Professor ( For Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English )
   Pay scale : Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 with AGP of Rs. 6,000/-
   Qualification : Candidate should posses Ph. D. degree with 1st class at Bachelors / Masters degree in appropriate disciplines.
2. Associate Professor ( For Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English )
   Pay scale : Rs. 37,400 – 67,000 with AGP of Rs. 9,000/-
   Qualification : Candidate should posses Ph. D. degree with 1st class at Bachelors / Masters degree in appropriate disciplines with 5 years of experience in teaching /industry/ research at the level of Lecturer/ Assistant Professor or equivalent, excluding the period spent for obtaining Ph. D. and M. Phil degrees.
3. Professor ( For Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English )
   Pay scale : Rs. 37,400 – 67,000/- with AGP of Rs. 10,000/-
   Qualification : Candidate should posses Ph. D. degree with 1st class at Bachelors / Masters degree in appropriate disciplines with 10 years of experience in teaching /industry/ research out of which 4 (four) years shall be at the level of Assistant Professor (old)/ Associate Professor or equivalent, excluding the period spent for obtaining Ph. D. and M. Phil degrees.
4. Assistant Professor(For Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Drawing, Basic Electricals, Computer Fundamental)
   Pay scale : Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 with AGP of Rs. 6,000/-
   Qualification : Candidate should posses Masters degree with 1st class at Bachelors and Masters degree level in appropriate Branch of Engineering.
5. Associate Professor/ (For Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Drawing, Basic Electricals, Computer Fundamental)
   Pay scale : Rs. 37,400 – 67,000 with AGP of Rs. 9,000/-
   Qualification : Candidate should posses Ph. D. degree with 1st class at Bachelors / Masters degree in appropriate disciplines with 5 years of experience in teaching /industry/ research at the level of Lecturer/ Assistant Professor or equivalent, excluding the period spent for obtaining Ph. D. and M. Phil degrees.
6. Professor  (For Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Drawing, Basic Electricals, Computer Fundamental)
   Pay scale : Rs. 37,400 – 67,000/- with AGP of Rs. 10,000/-
   Qualification : Candidate should posses Ph. D. degree with 1st class at Bachelors / Masters degree in appropriate disciplines with 10 years of experience in teaching /industry/ research out of which 4 (four) years shall be at the level of Assistant Professor (old)/ Associate Professor or equivalent, excluding the period spent for obtaining Ph. D. and M. Phil degrees.
7. Registrar
   Pay scale : PB-4 Rs. 37,400 – 67,000/- with GP of Rs. 10,000/-
   Qualification : Candidate should have Master Degree in Business Administration, Science, Commerce, or Arts or 1st class Bachelor Degree in Engineering with minimum 15 years of experience in technical management or administrative experience in major educational or R & D Institution, Public Sector undertaking, Government of Industry.
8. Assistant Registrar
   Pay scale : PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs. 5400/-
   Qualifications : Candidate should have Master Degree in Business Administration, Science, Commerce, or Arts or 1st class Bachelor Degree in Engineering and Degree in Management or ability to supervise computerized administration with innovative approach is desirable with 5 years of Technical management or administrative experience in major educational Institutions.
9. Technical Assistant
   Pay scale : PB-2 with GP of Rs. 4200/-
   Qualification : Candidate should have Bachelor Degree in Science with 1st class Honours or 1st class Diploma in Engineering in appropriate field
10. Superintendent / Accountant
    Pay scale : PB-2 with GP of Rs. 4200/-
    Qualification : Candidate should have Bachelor Degree with 2 years of experience in Office Management.
11. Stenographer
    Pay scale : PB-2 with GP of Rs. 4200/-
    Qualification : Candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree with minimum speed in shorthand 80 wpm and minimum typing speed of 40 wpm and Knowledge in computer word processing is required.
12. Junior Assistant
    Pay scale : PB-2 with GP of Rs. 4200/-
    Qualification : Candidate should have Bachelors Degree with minimum typing speed of 40 WPM and proficiency in Compute word processing.
13. Technician
    Pay scale : PB-2 with GP of Rs. 4200/-
    Qualification : Candidate should have Diploma in Engineering of 3 years duration of appropriate field / B.Sc. Degree in appropriate field.
