National Institute of Fashion Technology ( NIFT ) was started in 1986. It is a leading institute of Design, Management and Technology, developing professionals for taking up leadership positions in fashion business in the emerging global scenario. It is the best platform for the students who are interested in fashion education, research and training. Its head office is situated in New Delhi.

NIFT invites applications for the following faculty positions :

* Assistant Professors
No. of posts: 109
Disciplines of faculty positions: Fashion Design, Fashion Management and Fashion Technology – Apparel, Textiles, Lifestyle Accessories, Communications, Information Technology and Management & Apparel Manufacturing .
Age limit: Maximum 35 years
Pay scale: PB-3 Rs.15600-39100/- with GP of Rs. 5400/-
Qualifications: Candidate should posses UG/PG Diploma/Degree in the relevant area from a recognised university and preference will be given to the candidate with Ph.D degree in the relevant area .
Experience: At least 4 years UG Diploma/Degree –5 years (+1 year if it is a 3 year UG Degree/Diploma)  OR 2 years of PG Diploma/Degree –2 years (+1 year if duration is less than 2 years).

Last date for the receipt of application form: 30th April 2010
Application fees: DD/Bankers cheque of Rs.500/- drawn in favour of NIFT payable at New Delhi
