The National Institute of Ayurveda ( NIA ) is situated in Jaipur. It is an apex institute established on 7th February 1976 by the Government of India under the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for the promotion and growth of Ayurveda. It also conducts research on various aspects of Ayurveda.

NIA Jaipur invites applications for the following faculty posts :

1). Professor
No. of posts : 2
Discipline :

• Dravya Guna
• Shalakya Tantra

Pay scale : Rs. 37400 – 67000/- with GP of Rs. 8700/- plus 25% NPA
Minimum Salary : Rs. 93000/- per month
Age limit : Not more than 55 years
Qualification : Candidate should posses PG Qualification in Ayurveda in the concerned Subject recognized by CCIM/Ayurved Vachaspati, M.D.(Ay.) of University of Rajasthan in the concerned Subject .
Experience : 7 Years as Reader (Associate Professor) in PG Teaching in the concerned Subject or
12 Years combined experience in PG Teaching in the Subject concerned (As Reader/ Associate Professor / Assistant Professor) and Research.

2) . Associate Professor
No. of posts : 8
Discipline :

• Swastha Vritta
• Kaumar Bhritya
• Agad Tantra
• Panchakarma
• Prasuti Stri Roga
• Shalakya Tantra
• Sharir Rachana

Pay scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with GP of Rs. 7600 /- plus 25% NPA
Minimum salary : Rs. 61000/- per month
Age limit : Not more than 50 years
Qualification : Candidate should posses PG Qualification in Ayurveda in the concerned Subject recognized by CCIM/Ayurved Vachaspati, M.D.(Ay.) of University of Rajasthan in the concerned Subject.
Experience : At least 5 years of experience as Sr. Lecturer or Assistant Professor in PG Teaching in the Subject or 10 Years combined experience in Post-Graduate Teaching in the Subject(As Assistant Professor/ Lecturer) and Research.

3 ). Lecture
No. of posts : 3
Discipline :

• Swasth Vritta
• Kayachikitsa
• Sharir Kriya

Pay scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with GP of Rs. 5400 /- plus 25% NPA
Minimum salary : Rs. 45000/- per month
Age limit : Not more than 40 years
Qualification : Candidate should posses Degree in Ayurveda and PG degree in Ayurveda recognized by CCIM/Ay.Vachaspati, M.D.(Ay.) of University of Rajasthan with Specialization in the concerned subject.

Last date : 27th September 2010
