The National Highways Authority of India ( NHAI) was constituted by an act of Parliament, the National Highway Authority of India Act, 1988. It is responsible for the development, maintenance and management of National Highways entrusted to it. The NHAI ’s vision is to meet user’s expectations in the most time bound and cost effective manner. The NHAI have a total length of 70548 km to serve as the arterial network of the country. NHAI is mandated to implement National Highways Development project which is India’s largest ever highways project and world class roads with uninterrupted traffic flow.

NHAI invites applications for the following positions from officers under the Central/State Governments Departments/Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertakings for appointment on deputation basis. The number of vacancies may increase or decrease as per requirement of the Authority.

Deputy General Manager ( T)
Posts: 50
Age limit : Candidates should not be more than 56 years.
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.7600/-
Qualification: Candidates should have a Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed institution of Technology or a Recognized University/Institute.
Desirable: Candidates should have a Post Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering relating to Highway Engineering and/or Post Graduate Degree in MBA/Management from a recognized University/ Institute.
Experience: Candidates should be a Officer having analogous posts or with least 3 years of regular service in the scale of PB-3 (Rs.15600-39100) with GP Rs.6600/- in a Central Government Department / Autonomous Body /Public Sector Undertaking.  Or
Candidates should be a Officer having a analogous posts with least 3 years of regular service in the scale of PB-3 (Rs.15600-39100) with GP Rs.6600/- or equivalent in a State Government Departments/ Organizations/ State PWDs.  and
Candidates should have 9 years of service in responsible senior position in a Government Department / Public Sector Undertaking with minimum 8 years experience in Roads/Bridges/ Highways.
