The Northeast Frontier Railway was established on 14th April 1952 by the Government of India under the Ministry of Railways. Its headquarter is situated in Maligaon, Guwahati in the state of Assam. It handles and operates all the rail operations of Northeast and parts of West Bengal and Bihar. The area of Northeast Frontier Railway operations is characterized by exceptional beauty and at the same time by some of the most arduous terrain. NF Railways is divided into 5 divisions and they are Tinsukia, Lumbding, Rangiya, Alipurdaur and Katihar.

NF Railways invites applications for the post of Medical Practitioner on full time contract basis and the details are as follows:

MEDICAL PRACTITIONER
No. of posts: 22 ( Different no. of posts for different stations )

• Central Hospital/Maligaon: 3 posts ( 2 for General Duty & 1 for Paediatrician )
• Lumbding Hospital : 1 post ( Gynecologist )
• Badarpur Hospital :1 post ( General Duty )
• New Bongaigaon Hospital : 4 posts ( 1 each foe Physician, Paediatrician, General Duty and Orthopaedic )
• Rangapara Hospital: 1 post ( Physician )
• Dibrugarh Hospital : 2 posts ( 1 each for Physician & Anesthetist )
• Moriani Hospital : 1 post ( General Duty )
• Alipurduar Hospital : 5 posts ( 1 for Physician, 2 for Gynecologist and 2 for General Duty )
• Malbazar Health Unit : 1 post ( General duty )
• Katihar Hospital: 2 posts ( General duty )
• Kisanganj Health Unit : 1 post ( General duty )

Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 50 years
Salary: For Specialists is Rs. 46800/-P.M. and for General Duty salary is Rs.39400/-P.M.
Qualifications foe Specialists: Candidate should be MBBS with PG Degree / Diploma in the relevant subject as a specialist and should be registered with the Indian Medical Council.
Qualification for General Duty: Candidate should be MBBS and should be registered with the Indian Medical Council .
