National Science Centre NSC Recruitment 2010


The National Science Centre Delhi ( NSCD ) is a part of National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) and was established by the Government of India under the Ministry of Culture on 9th January 1992. It is involved in the popularization of science among the people of the northern part of India in general and among the students in particular. It put its full effort to achieve scientific literacy in the country.

Applications are invited by NSCD for various posts and the details are as following :

Last date for the receipt of application : 28th August 2010

  1. Exhibition Assistant ‘A’
    Pay scale : PB – 1 Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2800/-
    Emoluments : Rs. 20904/- per month
    Qualification : Candidate should posses Degree in Fine/Commercial Art of minimum 4 years.
    Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience in the relevant field after degree.
  2. Technical Assistant ‘A’ ( Electronics )
    Pay scale : PB – 1 Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2800/-
    Emoluments : Rs. 20904/- per month
    Qualification : Candidate should have done Diploma course in Electronics Engineering of 3 years.
    Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience in the relevant field after diploma.
  3. Junior Stenographer ( English )
    Pay scale : PB – 1 Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 2400/-
    Emoluments : Rs. 18512 per month
    Qualification : Candidate should have passed matriculation examination with 80/40 w.p.m. speed in English shorthand/typewriting respectively and should ahve full knowledge of computer applications .
  4. Cataloguer ‘ A’
    Pay scale : PB – 1 Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 1900/-
    Emoluments : Rs. 13565/- per month
    Qualification : Candidate should have the certificate of of Librarianship of at least one year duration after Matriculation/SSLC.
    Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience in the relevant field .
  5. Technician ‘ A’ ( Carpenter ) On Ad-hoc basis for 1 year
    Pay scale : PB – 1 Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 1900/-
    Emoluments : Rs. 13565/- per month
    Qualification : Candidate should have passed matriculation exam with 2 years certificate course in the Carpenter trade from I.T.I. or any recognized educational institution.
    Experience : Minimum 1 year relevant experience after obtaining the I.T.I. certificate. If the I.T.I. course is less than2 years, 2 years relevant experience after obtaining the certificate.
  6. Technician ‘ A’ ( painter ) On Ad-hoc basis for 1 year
    Pay scale : PB – 1 Rs. 5200 – 20200/- with GP of Rs. 1900/-
    Emoluments : Rs. 13565/- per month
    Qualification : Candidate should have passed matriculation exam with 2 years certificate course in the Painter trade from I.T.I. or any recognized educational institution.
    Experience : At least 1 year relevant experience after obtaining the I.T.I. certificate. If the I.T.I. course is less than2 years, 2 years relevant experience after obtaining the certificate.
