Punjab National Rural Health Mission ( NRHM) mission is to improve the availability of and access to quality health care by people, especially for those residing in rural areas, the poor, women and children. It revitalize local health traditions and mainstream AYUSH into the public health system. It aims at effective integration of health concerns with determinants of health like sanitation & hygiene, nutrition and safe drinking water through a District Plan for Health and to achieve health indicators like IMR, MMR and TFR to acceptable levels.

Punjab NRHM invites applications for the following positions on contract basis:

Obstetrician ( Female) for FRUs ( CHCs)
Posts: 38
Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 65 years.
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.30000/-.
Qualification: Candidates should be MBBS, Post Graduate (Diploma or Degree in Obst. & Gynae ) from Medical Institution recognised by Medical Council of India.
Paediatrician for FRUs (CHCs)
Posts: 67
Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 65 years.
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.30000/- p.m.
Qualification: Candidates should be MBBS, Post Graduate ( Diploma in Child Health or Degree in Paediatrics ) from any Medical Institution recognised by Medical Council of India.
Female Medical Officer (PHCs)
Posts: 64
Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 65 years.
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.25000/-
Qualification: Candidate should be MBBS from any Medical Institution recognised by Medical Council of India and having 6 months house job in Obstetric & Gynaecology from a recognised institution/ trained in MTP.
Medical Officer ( Female ) for Mobile Medical Unit
Posts: 8
Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 65 years.
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.22000/-
Qualification: Candidates should be MBBS from any Medical Institution by the Medical Council of India.
