National Institute of Malaria Research ( NIMR ) was formed in 1977. It was formerly known as ‘Malaria Research Centre’. It is an autonomous body under Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. its main work and aim is to find short term as well as long term solutions to the problems of malaria through basic, applied and operational field research.

NIMR invites applications for various posts under different projects:

Project entitled” ECOLOGICAL SUCCESSION OF ANOPHELINE AND OTHER MOSQUITOES IN NORTH EASTERN STATES IN INDIA’ for the period of 3 years.

1. 1 post for Computer Assistant
   Age limit: maximum 28 years
   Remuneration: Rs.9, 315/-p.m.
   Qualification: Candidate should be graduate with at least 1 year certificate/diploma in computer application.
   Experience: At least 1 year of experience in MS Office, Scientific data handling with statistical data analysis.

2. 3 posts for Field Worker
   Age limit: maximum 28 years
   Pay scale: Rs.8, 280/-p.m.
   Qualifications: Candidate should have passed High School/Matriculation from recognized Board.
   Experience: At least 1 year of experience in health related field work.
   Date of interview: 11th May, 2010 at 4 P.M

Project entitled ‘HEALTH EMPACT ASSESSMENT OF NARMADA BASIN DAMS AND RESETTLEMENT & REHABILIATION COLONIES IN MP’ for the period of 5 years.

1. 3 posts for Project Assistant
   Age limit: 28 years
   salary: Rs.20, 000/-p.m.
   Qualifications: Candidate should have the degree of M. Sc Life / Allied/ Environmental/ Mathematical / Statistical Sciences.
   Experience : At least 2 years of Research/field experience in Health Impact Assessment/ Vector Borne Diseases/ Geographical Information System.

2. 4 posts for Field supervisor
   Age limit: 28 years
   salary: Rs.15000/- pm
   Qualifications: Candidate should have the degree of B.Sc
   Experience: At least 2 years of Field experience in Vector Borne Diseases.
   Date of interview: 18th May, 2010 at 4 P.M
3. 2 posts for Computer Assistant
   Age limit: maximum 28 years
   remuneration: Rs.12, 000/-p.m.
   Qualifications: Candidate should be Graduate with one year Certificate/Diploma in computer application.
   Experience: At least 2 years of experience in MS Office, Scientific data handling with statistical data Analysis and Geographical Information System.
4. 30 posts for Field Workers
   Age limit: maximum 28 years
   Remuneration: Rs.7,500/-p.m
   Qualifications: Candidate should have passed High School/Matriculation from recognized Board.
   Experience: At least 1 year of experience in health related field work.
   Date of interview: 22th May, 2010 at 11 A.M
