The Ministry of Environment & Forests (MOEF) is under the Government of India. Its main duty is regarding implementation of policies and programmes relating to conservation of the country’s natural resources including its lakes and rivers, its biodiversity, forests and wildlife, ensuring the welfare of animals, and the prevention and abatement of pollution. While implementing these policies and programmes, the Ministry is guided by the principle of sustainable development and enhancement of human well-being.

   Department : Botanical Survey of India
   No. of posts : 1
   Pay scale : Rs. 37400 – 67000/- with GP of Rs. 10000/-
   Qualification : Candidate should posses Master’s Degree in Botany with at least 21years experience or Ph.D with a minimum of 18 years experience in original Botanical Research and Floristic Survey/Research work.
   Place of posting : kolkata
2. Scientists – C
   Department : National Museum of Natural History
   No. of posts : 1
   Pay scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with GP of Rs. 6600/-
   Qualification : Candidate should posses Master’s Degree in Botany / Zoology / Geology / Bioscience / Life Science/Environmental Science/ Wildlife Biology with diploma or a certificate of completion of a course in Museology of a duration of not less than 10 months.
   Place of posting : Sawai Madhopur (Rajasthan)
3. Scientists – B ( Lecturer in engineering & Surveying )
   Department : SFS College, Directorate of Forest Education[DFE], Dehradun
   No. of posts : 1
   Pay scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with GP of Rs. 5400/-
   Qualification : Candidate should posses bachelors degree in civil engineering with 5 years of experience in the field of Civil Engineering including teaching Experience.
   Place of posting : Central Academy for State Forest Service, Dehra Dun and other Academies/ Colleges under the Directorate of Forest Education.
4. Scientists – E
   Department : National River Conservation Directorate [NRCD]
   No. of posts : 1
   Pay scale : Rs. 37400 – 67000/- with GP of Rs. 8700/-
   Qualification : Candidate should posses Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering / Technology with M. Tech. in Environmental Engineering/ Public Health Engineering/Rivers & Lake Conservation / Water and 11 years of experience .
5. Scientists – B
   Department : National River Conservation Directorate [NRCD]
   No. of posts : 6
   Pay scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with GP of Rs. 5400/-
   Qualification : Candidate should posses the degree of B.E/B.Tech. in any discipline with M. Tech. in Environmental Engineering/ Public Health Engineering/ Water Resources or Conservation of Rivers and Lakes and 2 years of experience .
   Place of posting : New Delhi, with liability to be posted anywhere in India.
6. Scientists – C
   Department : Botanical Survey of India
   No. of posts :2
   Pay scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100/- with GP of Rs. 6600/-
   Qualification : Candidate should have Master’s degree in Botany with 3 years of experience in research/teaching in the field of taxonomy of Angiosperms/Bryophytes/ Lichens / Fungi / Algae and should have done Doctorate in Botany .
   Place of posting : Kolkata
