The Department of Women and Child Development was set up in the year 1985 and the department was upgraded as The Ministry of Women and Child Development from 30th January 2006. The activities of the Ministry are undertaken through five bureau. The main theme of the Ministry is vast development of Women and Children. The Ministry formulates plans, policies and programmes; enacts/amends legislation, guides and coordinates the efforts of both governmental and non-governmental organisations working in the field of Women and Child Development.

Ministry of Women and Child Development invites applications for the various posts on contract basis :

Programme Area : Child Protection
Duty Station : New Delhi
Contract period : 22 months.

1. Deputy Mission Director
   No. of posts : 2
   Salary : Rs. 55000/- consolidated
   Age limit : 50 years
   Qualification : Candidate should posses PG Degree in Humanities with specialization in Community Resource Management or Child Development/Social Work/ Sociology/ Public Administration
   Experience : Minimum 10 years of experience in project formulation/implementation, monitoring and supervision in the fields of Child Development/ Social Welfare.
2. Project Implementation Officer
   No. of posts : 4
   Salary : Rs. 45000/- consolidated
   Age limit : 45 years
   Qualification : Candidate should posses PG Degree in Humanities with specialization in Community Resource Management or Child Development/Social Work/ Sociology/ Public Administration .
   Experience : Minimum 8 years of experience in project formulation/ implementation/ monitoring and supervision in the fields of Child Development/ Social Welfare/ Advocacy/ Designing and Production of IEC materials.
3. Administrative Officer
   No. of posts : 1
   Salary : Rs. 30000/- consolidated
   Age limit : 50 years
   Qualification : Candidate should be graduate or post graduate.
   Experience : Minimum 10 years of experience in establishment and administrative matters.
4. Accounts Officer
   No. of posts : 1
   Salary : Rs. 30000/- consolidated
   Age limit : 50 years
   Qualification : Candidate should be graduate or post graduate in Commerce stream.
   Experience : Minimum 10 years experience in day to day accounts work, finalization of accounts and preparation of annual accounts, scrutinizing financial proposals.
5. Accountant
   No. of posts : 1
   Salary : Rs. 19000/- consolidated
   Age limit : 40 years
   Qualification : Candidate should have the degree of B.Com.
   Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in day to day accounts work, finalization of accounts and preparation of annual accounts, scrutinizing financial proposals.
6. Assistant cum Computer Operator
   No. of posts : 2
   Salary : Rs. 19000/- consolidated
   Age limit : 30 years
   Qualification : Candidate should be graduate.
   Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in handling [processing/putting up of] files independently.
7. Stenographer
   No. of posts : 1
   Salary : Rs. 19000/- consolidated
   Age limit : 30 years
   Qualification : Candidate should be graduate with typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in English and speed of 80 w.p.m. in Stenography in English.
