The Ministry of Environment & Forests (MOEF) is an organisation in the administrative structure of the Central Government for the planning, promotion, co-ordination and overseeing the implementation of India’s environmental and forestry policies and programmes. It conserve and do the survey of flora, fauna, forests and wildlife and prevent and control pollution. It is a nodal agency in the country for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), South Asia Co-operative Environment Programme (SACEP), International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) and for the follow-up of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED).

MOEF invites applications for the following posts and all these posts are on contract basis for the period of 5 years :

1. Project Officer ( Waste & Waste water Management )
   Salary : Rs. 75000/- consolidated
   Qualification : Candidate should posses degree in civil / environmental engineering with 12 years of experience in development and management of waste water infrastructure at senior level and candidates with masters degree will be preferred.
2. Project Officer ( Solid Waste Management )
   Salary : Rs. 75000/- consolidated
   Qualification : Candidate should posses degree in civil / environmental engineering with 12 years of experience in development and management of waste water infrastructure at senior level and candidates with masters degree will be preferred.
3. Communications Coordinator
   Salary : Rs. 100000/- consolidated
   Qualifications : Candidate should be Post graduate in Public Relations or Political Science with Diploma / Course in Mass Communications and should have at least 15 years of experience with the knowledge of commercial software.
4. Knowledge / Information Analysts
   Salary : Rs. 75000/- consolidated
   Qualification : Candidate should posses degree in library science with diploma in computerised database management and candidates with MCA will be preferred and should have at least 15 years of experience.
5. System Manager
   Salary : Rs. 75000/- consolidated
   Qualification : Candidate should post graduate in computer science / business administration / engineering / economics / mathematics / commerce with membership of any professional society with at least 10 years of experience in the same line.
6. Basin Environmental Planner
   Salary : Rs. 75000/- consolidated
   Qualification : Candidate should posses masters degree in water resources and Ph.D candidates will be preferred and 10 years of experience in development of basin management plans and water quality management is required.
7. Principal Water Resources Specialists
   Salary : Rs. 75000/- consolidated
   Qualification : Candidate should posses masters degree in water resources / Hydraulic / Irrigation Engineering with at least 12 years of experience in supervising the preparation  of river basin models and decision support systems.
8. Environment Management Specialist
   Salary : Rs. 75000/- consolidated
   Qualification : Candidate should posses degree in Civil / Environmental engineering / Ecology with the experience of 12 years in environmental management.
9. Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator
   Salary : Rs. 75000/- consolidated
   Qualification : Candidate should posses in Civil / Environmental engineering / Ecology with experience and knowledge of water quality monitoring instrumentation and actual development of instrumentation network is desirable.
