The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) was formed on  7th April 1958. It governs 9 districts of Delhi. It is the largest Municipal body in the world which provides civic services to the Millions of citizens of Delhi. The area of MCD is divided in 12 zones , namely City, Central South, Karol Bagh, Sadar Paharganj, West, Civil Lines, Shahdara South, Sahadara North, Rohini, Narela and Najafgarh.

The Directorate of Press and Information under MCD  invites applications for the various posts on contract basis :

1. Assistant director ( Pres & Information )
   No. of posts : 1
   Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 30 years.
   Emolument : Rs. 23000/- per month
   Qualification : Candidate should have Degree / Diploma in Journalism with at least 2 years of experience of Journalism / Publicity Work in a government department / newspaper / News agency.
2. Publicity Assistant
   No. of posts : 4
   Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 30 years.
   Emolument : Rs. 18000/- per month
   Qualification : Candidate should have degree from a recognized board / University with degree / Diploma in Journalism with at least 2 years of experience of Journalism / Publicity Work in a government department / newspaper .

Last date for teh receipt of application form is 28th July 2010
Application fees : DD of Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Delhi payable at Delhi.
