Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh came into existence in 1994. Chandigarh has a well planned system of water supply distribution.Municipal Corporation has been making constant efforts in improve the water supply distributions in the city by plugging leakages & Checking the theft of water. A well laid out underground Strom Water Drainage System exists in the city and it maintains the underground cables. Municipal Corporation is running 13 Community Centres and 2 Janj Ghars in various Sector of Chandigarh for organize social functions.

Applications are invited to fill up the following positions in Municipal Corporation Chandigarh :

Sub Divisional Engineer (B&R wing)
Posts: 7
Age limit : Candidates should be between 18-35 years as on 1.1.2010.
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.15600-39100.
Qualification: Candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
Sub Divisional Engineer (Building Branch)
Posts: 1
Age limit : Candidates should be between 18-35 years as on 1.1.2010.
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.15600-39100.
Qualification: Candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering from recognized University/ Institute.
Sub Divisional Engineer, Public Health Wing
Posts: 12
Age limit : Candidates should be between 18-35 years as on 1.1.2010.
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.15600-39100.
Qualification: Candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
Sub Divisional Engineer, Electrical wing
Posts: 2
Age limit : Candidates should be between 18-35 years as on 1.1.2010.
Remuneration: Candidates will get remuneration of Rs.15600-39100.
Qualification: Candidates should have a degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.

Note:  Age relaxation of 5 years for SC category and 3 years for OBC category candidates as per Chandigarh Administration instructions issued from time to time. Relaxation in age up to a maximum of 10 years is admissible if a candidate is physically handicapped having disability 40% or more.
