Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) was created on 1st September, 1956, with the objective of spreading life insurance much more widely and in particular to the rural areas with a view to reach all insurable persons in the country, providing them adequate financial cover at a reasonable cost. LIC had 5 zonal offices, 33 divisional offices and 212 branch offices, apart from its corporate office in the year 1956. Today LIC functions with 2048 fully computerized branch offices, 109 divisional offices, 8 zonal offices, 992 satellite offices and the Corporate office. The main objective of the LIC is maximize mobilization of people’s savings by making insurance-linked savings adequately attractive.

LIC invites applications for the following positions:

Financial Service Executive
Posts: 101
Age limit: Candidates should be between 21-35 years as on 1.06.2010
Qualification: Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University. Preference may be given to those candidates who having the Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing/ Management. Candidates should have a good knowledge of English and having basic knowledge of Computer such as Word/ Excel/ Power Point.
Remuneration: Candidates will be paid a fixed amount every month and incentives based on yearly performance. It is clarified that selection as a Financial Services Executive does not confer any right on the candidate to be appointed as a Permanent employee in the Corporation.
Interview: Candidates will have a written test and/or interview. Selected Candidates will be engaged as Financial Services Executives subject to their being found medically fit by the Medical Examiner authorised by the LIC for the purpose.
Application Fee : Applications fee is Rs.100/- for candidates other than SC/ST. Application fee shall be paid by DD only favouring “ Life Insurance Corporation of India” and payable at Divisional head quarter. Candidate’s name and date of birth should be written on back side of the Demand Draft.
