Jharkhand Public Service Commission ( JPSC ) was setup with the aim of making a commission fully responsible for making the recruitment for the government posts in the state. It’s duty is to conduct written competitive examination and also the interviews for the selections of the candidates for any government posts in the state.

A) Principal
No. of posts : 3
Pay scale : Rs. 18400 – 500 – 22400/-
Qualifications : Candidate from teaching field should posses Ph.D degree with minimum 15 years of teaching experience . Candidate from Industry / Profession should have masters degree in engineering / Technology with 15 years of experience .

B) Professor
No. of posts : 27
Disciplines :

• Electronics & Telecommunications : 6 posts
• Mechanical Engineering – 6
• Information Technology – 6
• Electrical & Electronics – 4
• Civil Engineering – 2
• Mathematics – 3

Pay scale : Rs. 16400 – 450 – 20900 – 500 – 22400/-
Qualification : Candidate from teaching field should posses Ph.D degree with minimum 10 years of teaching experience . Candidate from Industry / Profession should have masters degree in engineering / Technology with 10 years of experience .

C) Assistant Professor
No. of posts : 54
Disciplines :

• Electronics & Telecommunications : 12 posts
• Mechanical Engineering – 12
• Information Technology – 12
• Electrical & Electronics – 8
• Civil Engineering – 4
• Mathematics – 6

Pay scale : Rs. 12000- 420- 18300/-
Qualification : Candidate from teaching field should posses Ph.D degree with minimum 3 years of teaching experience .

D) Lecturer
No. of posts : 150
Disciplines:

• Electronics & Telecommunications : 30  posts
• Mechanical Engineering – 36
• Information Technology – 30
• Electrical & Electronics – 20
• Civil Engineering – 10
• Mathematics – 9
• Physics – 6
• Chemistry – 6
• Humanities – 3

Age limit : Candidate should not be more than 40 years of age.
Pay scale : Rs. 8000-275-13500/-
Qualification : Candidate should have Bachelors degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering with minimum 65% marks .
