The University of Rajasthan was formed on 8th January 1947. It is the oldest institution of higher learning in Rajasthan and was formerly known as The University of Rajputana. Its main objective is to spread knowledge and cater to the needs of the students of Rajasthan. It is a multi-faculty University and is recognized under 2f and 12B of U.G.C since its inception and attracts students from all over Rajasthan and other parts of India and abroad. It gives priorities to studies of frontier problems concerning national economy, social development and defence.

Applications are invited by The University of Rajasthan for the following teaching posts:

1. 35 vacancies are for Professors in different subjects
   Pay scale: Rs. 37400 – 67000/- with AGP of Rs. 10000/-
   Qualifications: Candidate should be an eminent scholar with the degree of Ph.D in the relevant subjects .
   Experience: At least 10 years of teaching experience in universities and contribution to educational innovation , design of of new courses through mediated teaching learning process.
2. 52 posts are for Associate Professors in different subjects
   Pay scale: Rs. 37400 – 67000/- with AGP of Rs. 9000/-
   Qualifications: Candidate should have Ph.D degree in the relevant subject with atleast 55% marks at masters degree level and contribution to educational innovation , design of of new courses through mediated teaching learning process.
   Experience: Atleast 5 years of experience of teaching or research in academic position in any university .
3. 239 posts are for Assistant Professors in different subjects
   Pay scale: Rs. 15600-39100/- with AGP of Rs. 6000/-
   Qualifications: Candidate should have good academic record with atleast 55% marks at the masters degree level in the relevant subjects and should have cleared National Eligibility Test conducted by the UGC , CSIR .
