Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology ( RRCAT ) was set up on 19 February 1984 by the Department of Atomic Energy and the foundation stone was laid by the President of India, Gyani Zail Singh. RRCAT is a premier institute for research and development in lasers, accelerators and their applications. It is located at the south-western end of the Indore city.

RRCAT invites applications for the post of Stipendiary Trainees for category I & II and the details are as following:

STIPENDIARY TRAINEES

1. Category – I
No. of posts: 30 ( Physics-12, Mechanical-7, Electronics – 7, Electrical – 4 )
Age limit: 19-24 years as on 16th July 2010
Stipend: Rs. 9300/- per month
Duration of training: 1 year
Qualification:
For Physics: Candidate should have at least 60% marks in B.Sc.(Physics as principle and
Mathematics/Chemistry/Statistics/Electronics/Computer Science as subsidiary subjects).
For Mechanical: Candidate should have 60% marks in Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
For Electronics: Candidate should have Diploma in Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering from a government recognised university with at least 60% marks.
For Electrical: Candidate should have Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 60% marks.

2. Category – II
No. of posts: 24 ( Electronics – 6, Mechanists- 2, Electrical – 2, Fitter – 7, Turner – 3, Miller – 2, Laboratory – 2 )
Age limit: 18 – 22 years as on 16th July 2010
Stipend: Rs. 6200/- per month for 1st year and Rs. 7200/- per month for 2nd year.
Duration of training: 2 years
Qualification: Candidate should have the degree of SSC or HSC with at least 60% marks in Science & Maths subjects PLUS ITI certificate from a government recognized institution in Instrumentation/ Electronics/Machinist/Electrical/
Fitter/Turner/Miller.

Last date for the receipt of application form is 16th July 2010
