The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) was established by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India under an agreement with UNESCO for providing opportunities to Indian and other Asian students and scholars. Its main work is provide a platform for interdisciplinary education, training and research in order to create human resources required at the biotech interface of engineering, chemistry, physics and medicine.

RCB invites applications for the posts of:

1. Senior Manager ( Finance/Administration)
   No. of posts: 1
   Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 55 years.
   Remuneration: Rs.37400-67000/-+GP of Rs.8700/-
   Qualifications: Candidate should have PG degree in Arts/Commerce/Science/ Engineering / CA/ ICWA/MBA or PG Diploma in Financial Management / Personnel Management. and those candidates who have worked in Scientific Research / Academic Institute with knowledge of modern management practices will be given preference.
   Experience: Candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in one level below i.e in the pre-revised scale of Rs.12000-375-16500 (revised scale of Rs 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs 7600/-) / in equivalent level.
2. Documentation Assistant
   No. of posts: 2
   Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 30 years.
   Remuneration: Rs.9300-34000/-+GP of Rs.4200/-
   Qualifications: Candidate should have PG degree in any stream with qualifications in Library / Documentation Science /Information Technology.
   Experience: Candidate should have at least 1 year of relevant working experience of Library / Documentation Science and Information Technology.
3. Workshop Officer
   No. of posts: 1
   Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 40 years.
   Remuneration: Rs.15600-39100/-+GP of Rs.6600/-
   qualifications: Candidate should have the degree of M. Tech./ B.Tech in the disciplines of Electrical / Electronics/ Mechanical Instrumentation Engineering.
   Experience: Candidate should have 5-8 years of relevant experience of having worked in a Workshop of Scientific Research / Academic Institute of biological /biomedical sciences.
4. Staff Officer to Executive Director
   No. of posts: 1
   Age limit: Candidate should not be more than 40 years.
   Remuneration: Rs.15600-39100/-+GP of Rs.6600/-
   qualifications: Candidate should be Graduate and Post Graduate qualification in Secretarial / Administrative Management or equivalent qualification and having experience of working in Scientific Research /Academic Institute is desired.
   Experience: Candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in providing critical secretarial or administrative support to the office of the Chief Executive /Senior Officer.
