The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh was setup in 1962 and was inaugurated by Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru. It is now renamed as “Nehru Hospital”. Its main aim is to develop patterns of teaching in postgraduate medical education in as many branches as possible and attempt to produce specialists in several disciplines of medicine. It provide superior quality patient care. It is also involved in research programmes. It broaden the horizons of medical knowledge by intensive research in the field of health.

PGIMER invites applications for the following faculty positions:

   Pay scale: PB-4 Rs.37400-67000/- with GP of Rs. 10500/-  and minimum pay of Rs.51600/-
2. Additional Professors
   No. of Posts: 4 in various specialities.
   Pay scale: PB-4 Rs.37400-67000/- with GP of Rs. 9500/-  and minimum pay of Rs.46000/-
3. Associate Professors
   No. of posts: 3 in different specialities
   Pay scale: PB-4 Rs.37400-67000/- with GP of Rs. 9000/-  and minimum pay of Rs.42800/-
4. Assistant Professors

   Pay scale: PB – 3 Rs. 15600-39100/- with GP of Rs. 8000/- and minimum pay of Rs. 30000/-
